More Than a Panel Company — Try Our New Survey Tool

To date, we’ve run thousands of Audience Panel data collection projects using nearly every 3rd party survey builder out there. In doing so, we’ve learned what features researchers most want out of a tool. 

With these experiences in mind, in the summer of 2018 we set out to create a survey builder that pushes the industry forward by offering an intuitive, frustration-free experience for researchers and respondents alike. To avoid creating any anxiety for our clients, we decided to leave our Audience Panel fully compatible with the 3rd party tools our researchers are accustomed to.

Several years after we began this journey, we're proud to announce our Survey Tool is publicly available as of July 2021. While no developers were harmed in the creation of this software, there was definitely a heavy amount of perspiration that ensued over the many nights it took to bring this incarnation to life. 

Iteration is necessary

About nine months ago, we opened up the initial version of our Survey Tool to beta use for some of our research clients. In that time, we’ve gathered a lot of feedback that enabled us to better hone our focus and bring the most pressing features to light — and retire a few that detracted from our goal of creating a clean and simple feeling experience.

In the coming months, we’ll be launching a subscription model. But that doesn’t mean you have to wait to give our new tool a test drive. Anyone can sign up, build a survey, and gather their first 50 responses for free. If you’re collecting from Audience Panel, you can utilize the full capabilities of our tool at no additional cost.

Focus over frustration

Our beta experience has led to a lot of changes. In the end, we wanted to drive towards a powerful tool that didn’t frustrate researchers with a bloated UI. Both the researcher and respondent experiences are designed around focus and ease of use. 

Within the survey build view, we’ve spent an enormous amount of time user testing to parse out which features to put front and center and which to peel back as you dive into more advanced programming. Finding the right balance is no easy task. Our primary objective, now and in the years to come, is to build a tool that is welcoming to first-time users but powerful enough to meet the demands of experienced researchers.

On the respondent side, we’ve worked tirelessly to craft an experience that prioritizes respondent focus by presenting one question at a time. In tandem, automatic question progression ensures participants aren’t slowed down and can quickly progress through a series of questions before fatigue sets in.

What’s live now
